Recognition Focused on Independent Publishing
Foreword Reviews established the INDIES Book of the Year Awards to recognize notable books from independent publishers and authors and bring them to the attention of the bookselling and library communities.
Entries are evaluated for qualities including editorial excellence, professional production, originality, and the contribution the book makes to its genre.
Judged with the Book Industry in Mind
The INDIES judging process draws on publishing professionals, including editors, booksellers and librarians, giving independently published books an opportunity to be evaluated by people who work closely with books and readers.
