Ernest Chigozie Duru was born and raised in Nigeria. He hails from Isiekenesi in the Ideato South local government area of Imo State. He studied Philosophy and Journalism at Bigard Memorial Seminary and at the University of Science and Technology Enugu, respectively. Having discovered his passion for writing while working as a marketing consultant and is now being considered for a graduate program in creative writing at University of Chicago. He currently resides in Chicago, Illinois with his wife and two beautiful daughters.
