Expedited Service
$199
Have a deadline to meet?
Expedited Service moves your book to the front of the production line, accelerating Outskirts Press’s portion of the publishing process.
This option is ideal for authors working toward:
- A scheduled launch date
- A speaking engagement
- A book signing event
- A holiday release
- A marketing campaign deadline
In most cases, Expedited Service reduces the standard production timeline by approximately 25%.
Accelerated Publishing for Authors on a Deadline
Self-publishing gives you control over your book — including your timeline. While much of the process depends on author responsiveness, Expedited Service ensures your project receives priority handling during all production stages.
Standard Production Timeline — Most books are published within 10–13 weeks after final production approval.
With Expedited Service — In most cases, this timeline can be reduced to approximately 7–10 weeks. Sometimes less.
Because authors control proof review time and optional services like editing may affect scheduling, timelines cannot be guaranteed. However, Expedited Service ensures your project receives priority attention throughout production.
A proactive author who responds quickly to proofs and communications is the single most important factor in achieving a fast publication.
Some expedited projects have moved from production approval to publication in under four weeks — though results vary depending on project complexity and author responsiveness.
