Private Label Imprint

$199
Our best publishing packages already include an ISBN for no additional fee. However, some self-publishing authors prefer to secure their own ISBNs for full control over how their books are identified, discovered, and sourced.
Regarding ISBNs, authors fall into two categories:
- those who have their own publishing imprint name and therefore want to own their own ISBN for the purest form of self-publishing
- those who do not care about owning their own ISBN and/or do not care about publishing under their own publishing imprint name
If you do not care about publishing under your own designated publisher name with your own, personal ISBN, then you will be happy to know our Ultimate, Full-Color, Basic, and Economy packages already include a unique ISBN for no additional fee. Outskirts Press will be your publisher of record. 95% of our authors simply and happily use the included ISBN with their package and do not select this option.
On the other hand, if you do care about owning your own ISBN and publishing under your own Publishing Imprint Name, than this is the option for you. You will provide us with the Publisher Name you want to use. This can either be your name (John Doe) or your publishing imprint name (Joe Doe Publishers). It MUST match the name you used to acquire your ISBN from R.R. Bowker, and then you must provide your ISBN exactly.
Want to publish under your own imprint but don't yet own your own ISBN? We can help you!
R.R. Bowker, the official ISBN Agency for the United States, and Outskirts Press have reached an agreement establishing Outskirts Press as a designated ISBN agent of R. R. Bowker. The agreement allows for Outskirts Press to request single-ISBNs from R.R. Bowker on behalf of, and in the name of, self-publishing authors who select this Private Label Imprint & ISBN option from OutskirtsPress.com.
This means that Outskirts Press can pass single ISBN application requests to the US ISBN Agency on behalf of Outskirts Press customers. A single ISBN will be assigned in the name of the author/publisher applying for it and the single ISBN will be owned by that author/publisher. The single ISBN will not be issued in the name of Outskirts Press and will not be owned by Outskirts Press. The publisher to whom the ISBN is assigned will be identified as the publisher of the book that has the ISBN on it. Outskirts Press will not be identified as the publisher of the book.
Once assigned, an ISBN cannot be returned. All ISBNs are non-refundable. An ISBN cannot be transferred, sold or given to someone else. By completing and submitting the application for an ISBN, you are acknowledging that you have reviewed and agree to the US ISBN Agency terms and conditions (below).
Purchasing an ISBN directly from Bowker costs $125 per ISBN and our service to process it for you is set at $199 per ISBN. We will get you one from Bowker and submit all the paperwork for you. The only catch is that you must live in the United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, or Puerto Rico.
If you already have your ISBN, simply add the Imprint Option to your cart. We will request your ISBN from you. If you need us to get an ISBN, add the Imprint option now for $199, and then we will bill you an additional $199 to acquire an ISBN from Bowker on your behalf. You will also receive a short form to complete at that time.
