Naugle and his contributing story tellers provide real life experiences as Peace Corps Volunteers in Niger, West Africa in the late seventies and early eighties; a time when there were no computers or cell phones to call home and air mail was the only communication tool to friends and family back home in America. It is book of stories that tell how young, passionate Americans went to a continent that despite them thinking they knew a lot about, ignited in them a new awareness of what the real world was about. It was an experience that changed the course of their lives.
