Carl Jones is a former Army Sgt. NCOIC of an FAAR radar maintenance shop in Korea. He got his work ethic and integrity from his grandfather, who, with a sixth-grade education, worked hard every day to raise seven grandchildren. After high school, he spent 12 years in the Army and later found a home with Department of Defense contractors. When he began facing bias in the industry, instead of lashing out, he made a difference from within the company. With his expertise and ability to lead, Carl made it to the rare air of senior management, where he began to make inroads, changing minds and bringing others with diverse views with him. He knew this could only be accomplished with the assistance of open-minded and brave white cohorts. But just as he was winding things down, he was stricken with MS. Carl and his wife have been married since 1981 and live in Lithia, Florida.
