Since She was a young child, Ruth Ann Jantzen has had a love of Native American history given to her by her father. She and her father would often sit together in the evening and he would tell her stories of brave Indians and western stories that he heard as a child. For most of her life she studied Indian culture and is familiar with much of the history that has been written about the Native American customs and way of life. She is most interested in the healing practices and herbs used in the 1600’s . Ruth Ann has had this story in her mind and heart for decades. After spending four years living in Arizona, and feeling the desert and land surrounding her, she once again picked up pen and paper and became determined to finish her dream of a Native American historical fiction book that would transport its reader back in time to a Native American way of life. Ruth Ann is again residing in the Hudson Valley of New York among her extended family and her loving dog, Riley. She is now writing her second novel, Buffalo Eyes, that should be finished in the fall of 2020.
