Product description...

A new kind of poetry you’re sure to ENJOY! From Simply ROMANTIC to simply FUN! “Country Poetry From the Milkman™ will change the way you may think about poetry,” Frank says, “nothing boring about it!”

What is country poetry you may ask? Well…our poet, Frank Curtiss, a Korean War vet and bona fide milkman for many years, never cared much for what he calls “traditional poetry!” Nevertheless, being a hopeless romantic, and one who observes life and nature in general, he was naturally prone to jotting down his thoughts in rhyme. Frank decided to refer to his fun, romantic, and easy to read poems as Country Poetry From the Milkman™!

We believe he has created a whole new genre of poetry! Frank will tell you that he has immensely enjoyed writing it for many years, and now he’s hoping that you will immensely enjoy reading it! As you peruse through the pages of our book, we hope you will find yourself saying, “Oh wow, this one’s for me!” Or, “so and so, really needs to read that one!” For added value, and to learn more about this poet’s life, you won’t want to miss pages 1-20 which include: “...yes, my dad was a bona-fide milkman!” and Memoires of My Dad’s Life - (As I see it!) Then, after enjoying his poems, glimpse into his ancestry and the town he was raised in, Fairport, Ohio - all with pictures galore!

Author Information...

Frank E. Curtiss with Illustrator and Co-author Candace L. EdmondsFrank Curtiss, once referred to as “The Will Rogers of Country Poetry”, was raised during The Great Depression in a quaint little Harbor Town, Fairport, Ohio. Frank joined the Air Force as a young man and served his country with pride during the Korean War. His wife later wrote that “Frank didn’t consider it a bit unmanly to pen a poem or two to his lady fair!” Following that came a lifetime of writing down his thoughts as he would go through his days, and for many of those years as a milkman—faithfully serving his community. Today, as a senior, he is looking forward to sharing our first compilation of his delightful, romance poetry for the Common Man—and woman! Sometimes serious, sometimes playful, a surprise of dry or self-deprecating humor when least expected! Sit down and relax as you read through. We think you’ll love it! Our first book, Thinkin’ About You, makes a great selfie gift for your coffee table, sure to bring laughs and comments if passed around when company comes! Without a doubt it’s a thoughtful gift for that special someone who may need a lift, a laugh, or just to show you care! Personalize it by choosing a poem or more, then write the page numbers in on the special page designed just for that. Then your recipient can open their book and see right away what poems reminded you of them! Candace Edmonds Frank’s daughter, co-author and illustrator
