Product description...

Amidst A Vibrant Community Of Trees, Rocks, Herbs And Honey, Unseen But Felt Entities, The Spoken Word, And All Creatures Great And Small, Four Women Gather To Care For The Soul, To Individuate On Holy Ground, And To Discover Themselves In Ever Deeper Ways By Participating In An Earth-Centered Fire Ritual.

Women's Ways With Fire: Transforming Self in the Heart of Nature is a tour du force, the result of Ismana Carney's life-long study of the world's spiritual practices and healing traditions. She integrates this knowledge with depth psychology and natural-based mythologies and practices to tell a compelling story of human transformation through the real-life experiences of four women. Their experiences as ceremonial participants, and hers as facilitator and observer, illustrate the power and relevancy of earth-based healing techniques to address the contemporary emotional and psychological challenges commonly faced in modern society. Women's Ways with Fire: Transforming Self in the Heart of Nature shares innovative personal healing practices grounded in ancient wisdom traditions that combine ecotherapy, indigenous ecospirituality and Jungian depth psychology. The work brings into focus the archetypally powerful element of Fire that transformed our ancestors' lives as both destroyer and life giver in the literal sense and also symbolically as the source of Divine wisdom, truth and light. This book also explores how participation in an earth-centered Fire ritual contributes to four women's search for Self, wholeness and wellbeing. Profound healing occurs for each woman as she prepares for, and incorporates into her being the transformative impact of engaging profoundly with Fire in both its elemental and metaphorical dimensions.
