My name is Apryl Watkins Hurst and I found a love for expressing myself on paper at the early age of 9. I loved the way words could touch a persons emotions. Reading a book can leave a person feeling happy, sad, inspired and even influenced.
My husband and I have 5 children and they influenced me to write books for children. My little ones love to use their imaginations. They are all very active and outgoing. Therefore, I thought it would be great to write books about a kid that loves to do the same.
There are books that focus on kids going on adventures but I have yet to find one that includes the participation of the parents. My goal is to help parents get more involved and encourage their children to express themselves in various ways.
