If your book includes photos, charts, illustrations, graphs, tables, or any visual elements inside the manuscript, this option is required.
Each 10-Pack allows for up to 10 interior images or graphic elements.
As an Ultimate Package author, you receive up to 20 interior images included with your package.
If your book does not contain interior images or graphic elements, you do not need this option.
What Counts as an “Image Element"?
Any visual element other than standard body text requires an image package, including:
- Photographs
- Illustrations
- Clipart
- Graphs and charts
- Tables
- Drawings
- Text boxes or designed callouts
Each package covers up to 10 total elements.
For example: 6 photos + 6 charts = 12 elements (2 image packages will be required).
How to Submit Your Images
Preferred Method: Upload Digitally
Upload your image files directly through your Author’s Center.
- Maximum upload size: approximately 30MB
- Most 300 dpi JPG images are around 1MB each
- JPG or TIF files are recommended
- BMP files are much larger and may exceed upload limits
If you exceed the upload limit, our system will notify you.
For larger submissions, your Author Rep can provide FTP instructions.
Hard Copy Submission (If Digital Files Are Not Available)
If you only have printed images, you may select the hard copy submission option.
Please note:
- Mailing submissions incur a $199 Mailing Submission Service fee
- Do not send original artwork whenever possible
- If you want materials returned, you must include a self-addressed stamped envelope
- Items sent without return postage will be discarded after digitization
Image Requirements
To ensure professional print quality:
- Images must be high resolution (300 dpi at print size)
- You must own the rights or have written permission to use each image
- Images copied from websites without authorization violate copyright law
If an image does not meet resolution standards, print quality may be reduced.
If an image cannot be used, you may supply a replacement (additional submission fees may apply).
Image submission fees are non-refundable.
Placement Instructions
You are responsible for clearly indicating where each image should appear within your manuscript.
When uploading files:
- Provide placement instructions
- Reference each image by file name
- Indicate page placement clearly
Clear instructions help ensure accurate formatting.
