Foreword Reviews is the only journal exclusively dedicated to reviewing books from independent publishers, university presses and self-publishers. The magazine is delivered to:
- Small press buyers at all large bookstore chains (B&N, Chapters, Books-A-Million, etc)
- The ABA's Booksense requests 500 of each issue for delivery directly to their members
- Editors at larger publishing houses looking for new authors to publish
- Other industry professionals
All told, the Foreword Reviews circulation is 85% librarians, 12% bookstores and 3% publishing professionals.
Issues are also distributed freely at the major international book fairs (London, Beijing and Frankfurt), so if you are participating in the Outskirts Press Global Book Tour, this is a nice complement.
Your book's ad will occupy a 2" x 2.5" space next to 5 other Outskirts Press books within a full-color, half-page ad. Your ad space will include an image of your book's cover, an abbreviated synopsis, the ISBN, the retail price and retail/wholesale ordering information.
Issues come out on a bi-monthly basis and reservations are filled on a first-come, first served basis. Due to this policy, and the lead-times necessary for print magazines, we are unable to schedule a specific month for the ad, or even estimate when the ad will appear.
