Once upon a time in the desert...

A young gunslinger wanders into a dying New Mexico town in 1862. She stops for a drink and requests brief shelter before continuing on into the open desert. Immediately, the young girl is confronted with the inherent violence of this lawless land, as she grapples with the question of what her obligations to strangers should be. And with this, the gunslinger begins her journey.

J. Scott, adventurer and mountaineer, began writing at a young age. They were born in Colorado and raised in Wyoming. They have been fascinated with the Wild West and, more recently, with the darker aspects of human behavior influenced by environmental triggers. J. Scott wants this book series to feel like a montage of movies you watched with your grandparents as a kid. J. Scott received a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Wyoming, where their writing skills were sharpened. They are currently living in Alaska with their new bride and two cats.
