Dogs Can Be HEROES Too!

My beloved dog Charlie is a Yorkshire Terrier who tries to get me to understand his job when I am ill. I was diagnosed with SLE Lupus in 2016. Charlie became my service dog which was never intended. This book is an easy read with repetitive story telling colorful and funny pictures for young aged children. This story is unique from others as it has inserts on every page with questions for the reader to guide teachers and families to promote understanding and comprehension.

I am a retired Kindergarten teacher who loves teaching children how to read and write. Teaching through children’s story books has made such an impact on my past students. Seeing their growth was so rewarding and now I’d love to help teachers and families teach their child the magic of reading! I live in North Carolina with my service dog Charlie. I read, write, do yoga and love to do puzzles. I have one daughter who attends The University of South Carolina. I love being a Mom!
