Author Information...

Dale Watten is an author, former horticulturist, retired teacher and current Master Gardener who lives in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. She has written two other illustrated children’s books, “Busy Bay” and “Dream Valley Shenandoah”. She is also a partner with her husband in a business, VATN Science and Technology. She has raised three sons who she read to from an early age which inspired her love of children’s literature. Janie Moltrup is a freelance photographer who works out of her studio in Smithburg, Maryland. She is retired from the U.S. Senate Photographic Studio, but continues to photograph private events, corporate meetings, social gatherings and portraits through her business Janie Moltrup Photography and Design. Janie has studied with watercolor artist Steve Hall in Dedham, England and participated in watercolor and oil workshops at the Schuler School in Baltimore. She also teaches watercolor workshops. She wrote and illustrated a children’s book “Pitter Patter Goes the Rain” and has illustrated several other children’s books.
