They tirelessly study its symptoms, its transmission, and its devastating effects, seeking to prevent further spread. However, a shocking discovery alters the course of their mission. As they delve deeper into their investigations, disturbing evidence is uncovered that suggests the Affliction is being used as a weapon wielded by a malevolent foe.

This revelation shifts their objective, transforming their struggle against the disease into a battle against a tangible enemy.

The heroes find themselves in a race against time, not only to understand and combat the Affliction itself, but also to expose and stop those responsible for continuing its spread. The stakes are higher than ever before, as they realize that the enemy is not bound by any moral constraints and is willing to sacrifice countless lives to further their own agenda.
