The novel reflects on the different choices the leaders of the Father's Touch International Ministry could have chosen if they had listened to the Spirit of God. The grandson of the founder of the ministry, Ted Gordon, went around interviewing the leaders to get a better understanding of how things could have been better for the individuals involved as well as for the ministry itself. At the same time, disasters were occurring throughout the United States as a wake-up call for the citizens to repent of their immoralities.

Perry Riff has written eighteen novels so far to make readers aware of what some Christians are doing to make the world a better place for individuals struggling with sexual issues, gender identity, and spiritual challenges. He has taught sociology, psychology, and special education at the college level. He has seen men and women overcome great obstacles to recapture their mental and spiritual well-being.
