Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Robin Reed-Poindexter relocated to Northern California where she spent 31 years with the City of Richmond Fire Department becoming the first African American Deputy on the West Coast and the first woman Chief Officer in the Fire Department. Robin has three children and three grandchildren all of whom inspire her short stories series.
