Holding six degrees in philosophy, English, and comparative literature, Dwight Brooks, Ph.D. also spent over a decade on the ground in some of the most remote and dangerous areas in Indonesia. His postdoctoral researches concentrated on the former Dutch Colonial Empire in Indonesia (‘Insulinde’), and he is also a specialist in Early Modern Dutch. Brooks lives on the Big Island of Hawaii, and devotes himself to writing mainly historical, but also modern novels about the South Pacific.
