Books can shut out the sound on a busy day, You can hear only words that a book has to say.

Reflections that rhyme offer an opportunity to expand on the real or imagined meaning of a single word. But since many words have variations in meaning, they lend themselves to creative interpretation.

Gordon Alexander’s third book, Still More Rhymes and Reflections, continues to address words from an oblique point of view. With so much of the poetry written as free verse today, rhyming seems a welcome exception. In addition, Gordon has incorporated double rhyming in the cadence of his poems.
