Author Information...

Elizabeth SlenkerAs a former college professor I have worked with students who come with all kinds of complicated predicaments and issues that need to be addressed with more than the material presented in a college course. This book is based on my interactions with clients in Art and Family Therapy, as a counselor in crisis and bereavement intervention, and as a psychotherapist in the mental health system. Most vulnerable are children who are products of foster care. The circumstances in which these children find themselves leave them with little control over their situation. Their lives at best are tentative and many never know from one day to the next where they will be the following day. Martha’s Miracles is a compilation of the variety of careers in which I have endeavored. How I wish for each person in foster care could find the love and kind placement that Martha found.
