Prophet Daniel experiences a holy but unusual life.
Questions still linger about some dates and events discussed in the Hebrew part of the Holy Bible. Calendars have changed. Writing and ways of recording events have changed. That is not to say there are any inaccuracies in any part of the Bible. Sometimes the existence of other events is used to give a date for specific events. That can leave open questions. For example, during the reign of Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar, he received a vision of a large statue of a man with a head of gold, chest and arms of silver, belly and thighs of bronze, legs of iron, feet partly of iron and partly of baked clay. A rock was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the feet of the statue and it crumbled. That information prophesied time and events from the time of the Babylonian conquest of Judah and Jerusalem to the birth of Jesus and the establishment of the Christian church, covering a time span from about 586 BC to 33 AD. The prophet Daniel is the main character in the book, thus the title, ‘Prophet.” Throughout the Bible book of Daniel, he receives interpretations of signs and events from God, called by the Hebrew name, Yahweh. The primary events in the book are directly from the Bible and are not changed in any way. Some other events are fiction. They are used to fill in time and events that are not clarified in the Bible. The book is prepared to give honor and praise to God.
