Don Leonard began polishing his writing skills during a multi-faceted 34 year career in the Information Technology business. He began his career as a sales representative where his communication skills brought considerable success and recognition. He soon moved on to new responsibilities in the company’s product development lab where he earned a patent, and numerous awards for his contributions. His writing skills did not go unnoticed during his tenure in the lab which led to additional responsibilities, including a key role as a producer of written communications for senior executives. Later in his career, Don’s skills found a new home in corporate advertising where he gained considerable experience in the production of television commercials, working with the most renowned directors on the biggest stages in Hollywood. After retiring in 2002, Don started his own business, Masterpiece Video Services, shooting commercials and promotional videos for local businesses and towns in the Connecticut tri-state area. “A Love Story” is his first attempt at writing a novel. The advent of the pandemic in 2020 provided the time and impetus to begin writing. His two and a half-year effort brought “A Love Story” to life. It’s a true story that’s been with him for decades—a story involving two lovers and a psychic’s astonishing prediction. Don is a licensed pilot and an accomplished sailor. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, writing, and travelling the world with his wife. His three sons and six grand-children are the joys of his life.
