Product description...

A tale that illuminates a remarkable friendship of international reach and profound depth.

TOM was written as “roman-a-clef,” meaning that names, places, and some events have been changed, but not the essence of a real story. It is a personal journey of dashed hopes, brokenness, and disappointment. And, it is the story of unlikely human connection, of faith struggle, the wonder of life, and ultimately, of hope. It is adult fiction. TOM’s story is not intended for children and youth. This novella includes vulgar language, violent imagery, and mature, difficult subjects.

Gary Larson Gary Larson has previously published Harbor Yarns (2019) and Peeling Back the Layers (2021). Gary, a retired Presbyterian pastor, lives in Erie, Pennsylvania with his wife Sarah. As a pastor who preached through faith issues and life questions, he has now written his way through joy and grief. Though specific, his hope is that this story might lift you to a calm place as you reflect upon your own life’s journey. The cover is an original by his son, Jesse, who also provided sketches in Harbor Yarns.
