You are not alone, Lovely. As a young woman, I believed lies about what a girl "should" look like. My beliefs fueled addictions, which surfaced in my battles with anorexia, bulimia, and body dysmorphia. But over time, my relationship with Jesus put me on a path toward healing.

Now, I serve high school and college-aged girls by leading conversations about healthy body image. I’ve spent years speaking with counselors, dieticians, and small groups about how girls are capable of loving their God-gifted bodies. I look forward to hearing how the questions in this workbook help today's young women have conversations that change the way we see our beautiful female bodies.

Juleeta C. Harvey was born and raised in Texas. She spent most of her growing up in and around Dallas and in a small South Texas town alongside Hwy 123, Seguin. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, she began teaching middle school English and married her husband of 21 years, Dave. They are the proud and prayerful parents of five kids, elementary to high school age. Today, she writes content that fosters compassionate conversations about healthy body image for small groups. She is the founder of Body Truth, an organization that supports young women as they seek to discover the truth about their beautiful bodies. In her spare time, she and her family enjoy hiking the outdoors and fishing at her parents’ ranch.
