Dr. Johnson has been a nurse for nearly 30 years. She completed her PhD in Nursing, the highest degree in the profession, at East Carolina University College of Nursing in Greenville, North Carolina. She currently practices as a Nurse Practitioner overseeing the care of patients undergoing dialysis due to kidney failure. Working with patients is her passion. She manages challenging chronic illnesses with attention to detail and respect for each individual. And, perhaps even more importantly, she instills hope. “I’ve heard many times that a journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step,” Johnson said. “It doesn’t.
