Product description...

A Fun Story that will Make your Child want to Read More

In the piece I wrote which, is really a non-fiction about a miniature turtle who helped me and my six-year-old son heal from extraordinary pain and loss caused by grief. The story emphasizes kindness, patience, friendship and a journey that helps one accept change and move onward with excitement. One of the main points of the book is the importance of responsibility. It takes the reader through the many adventures a small creature caused to distract the characters from their reality.

Author Information...

I decided to tell the wonderful story about a miniature pet turtle we adopted into our family. The pet turtle was for my six-year-old son who needed an activity after losing his father to cancer at such an early age. I considered a dog but I knew I would have to be the doggy’s caregiver. I thought a small turtle would be a piece of cake for a young child to care for. I was completely wrong. This little guy named Chester was active, curious and mischievous. Every week my staff would gather around me to hear what precarious deeds I would describe that the turtle and my son were in trouble about. The stories became an introduction to our staff meetings and at one Monday morning someone suggested I write a book after my story was told. It would entertain children, their readers and all who picked up the book. I am a Banker. The thought of writing a book never entered my mind. Since I do have a creative nature, I said, why not!!
