The author has become a “Jack of All Trades.” His first job after college was doing application engineering. In his spare time, he built houses with Habitat for Humanity and he was a “digger” at the Nobles Pond Paleo Indian archaeological site. Because of the amount of flint debitage unearthed, he later worked with the analysis team at Kent State Stark. He did standards work for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). This turned into writing sections for technical reference books. Additional volunteer projects included being a docent on the old Sheet and Tube Steam Switcher (Engine 301) at the Canfield Fairgrounds for the MVHRA and later being a docent at the War of 1812 Fort Meigs site. The first retirement did not take; so the author became an Adjunct Professor in the Technology Department at YSU for eight years. More writing projects were pursued as well as working as a Consulting Engineer. After the Professorship, retirement didn’t take again. The author assumed a Professional Engineering position at CMT in Youngstown, Ohio.
