The Diamond—A plot like no other!

Have you ever contemplated the history of an inanimate object? Maybe a spectacular jewel, a collectible automobile, or an antique sign—through how many hands had the jewel passed, what fate befell those who drove the car, and what events transpired beneath the ever presence of the sign? Was foul play involved, was love inherent, or was tragedy the outcome? Some objects might contain histories beyond imagination. The story follows the path of three inanimate characters, a rare and precious diamond, a 1934 Ford truck with a royal flush painted on the door, and an old Mobilgas Pegasus sign on a lofty pole. They, and the lives they touch, are followed from 1939 to present, and question whether life’s events are a result of happenstance; predestined by a touch of mysticism; or perhaps, from a hint of the supernatural. This plot has it all—from the formation of a diamond to a Zulu curse; from WWII history to mafia history; and from mysticism to the reality of 9/11. You won’t be disappointed as you travel from South Africa, up the coast to England, abroad to New York, then to New Orleans, Houston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Dallas, and little ole Buda, Texas. Each, and every, piece of history is factual in which the fictional characters are placed. Enjoy the ride!
