Product description...

Unclaimed Civil War Gold Buried 150 years in the Adirondacks

Will it be found in time to save Jay Mountain? Demian Listing, facing a financial collapse, is further threatened when a bag of bones is uncovered on Jay Mountain during a construction project. With this new obstacle to success, and with mounting economic pressure, Demian and his friends embark on a search for unclaimed Confederate gold, which legend has it can be found on the property. One of Listing’s friends, Dr. Graham, is faced with pressure of his own as he is forced to come face to face with the fact that psychology practice is not always the same as healing. Two stories in one: a search for gold with a journey through the wilderness and a search for healing with a journey through the past. Interwoven beautifully, this thriller will keep you turning page after page, following these characters until the very end. Truly, the Adirondack Mountains serve as the perfect backdrop for Douglass Powell’s first novel in the Jay Mountain Healing series. Simultaneously a twist on the classic treasure hunt and a story of transformational healing, you’ll want to add this and the rest of Powell’s books to your library as soon as you can. He now teaches acupuncture with the ACUS Foundation, an organization which teaches military physicians the arts of acupuncture so that our military, retirees, and their families can receive effective treatment without drugs.
