Love…Is it real or just a means to an end?

Emerald green eyes, long wavy honey-blond hair and six-foot-tall without high heels, Marley’s striking appearance has always garnered attention. Most of the time, not the kind she wanted. Growing up, she was often called a freak or a clown by her classmates. Towering over them, she learned to handle their remarks with humor. It seemed to frustrate them and at the same time it amused Marley. When the opportunity to help her struggling parents out financially occurs, Marley decides to take it. A fake engagement and a month of marriage is all she has to agree to. He gets his inheritance and she gets paid. Simple, right? That decision becomes significantly more difficult when she finds herself falling in love.

LaRain started writing to keep her mind off things she had no control over and found she enjoyed it. She says, “Your mind can only truly concentrate on one thing at a time.” She prefers to concentrate on a recipe of romance with a heavy sprinkling of suspense, and she blends them together to create twists and turns in her plots that keep the reader turning page after page and wanting more. Rainy, along with her service dog Chipper and her husband Bradd, live on a 400-acre beef and forestry farm in upstate New York. Her love of nature is often woven into her novels and featured in her original stained-glass dimensional art work, which has been shown in several galleries.
