Evangelist Theresa J. Stembridge has been a member of St. Matthew’s Community African Methodist Church of Hollis, Queens, in New York under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Andrea M. Hargett for over twenty years. It is where she served as facilitator for a then brand new ministry called My Sister’s Keeper, she teaches Sunday School, assists her Pastor in the New Member’s classes, served as a Stewardess, Liturgical Praise Dance Ministry member, and served as secretary to the Missionary Society, Sunday School Board, Two as One Marriage Ministry. Currently, she is a member of the Health Commission and a licensed, certified Evangelist in the AME Church. As a teen, she fell in love with sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with anyone who seemed to be lost or hopeless. Today, that passion still exists, and is why she answered the call to Evangelism some ten years ago. She is the proud mother of two wonderful young men, Curtis II and Joshua and wife of almost thirty-five years to the man of God that God sent her, Curtis Stembridge. After serving as a health professional for over thirty years, she was forced to re-invent herself as a New York City Employee. She is blessed to have retired as a New York City 911 operator and Dispatcher and is currently working on her third book: From the Corner to the Call. Evangelist Stembridge loves God, loves His people, and truly strives to work worthy of His will and His way. She looks forward in love and anticipation, excited to see what God has in store for her next on this wonderful journey called life.
