Product description...

A Vacationing Couple and a Backwoods Billionaire Wage War on Rural Racism.

When a curious vacationing couple gets lost in an unmapped section of South Carolina, their chance encounter with an old black horse-cart driver accidentally ignites a war between the KKK and a wealthy family dedicated to defeating centuries of local racism. Back in civilization, Zach and Chloe stop for breakfast. They strike up a friendship with Chester Ward and his quirky daughter, Annie, who own not only the diner, but also the whole town. Their conversation links the mysterious area they just left to the disappearance of people close to the Wards and a dangerous Klan leader. When Chloe fears their trespassing has put innocent lives at risk, they all decide quick action is required. With no evidence for a warrant, Zach and Chloe soon learn that eccentric billionaires play by different rules. The four hatch a clandestine rescue scheme using Chester’s own sheriff’s department augmented by a mercenary black ops team. When the path seems blocked, everyone steps easily across personal moral boundaries in pursuit of a greater good. Their lives become forever changed and entangled in ways that leave them all questioning what happened and who they really are.

Author Information...

Bob IversonI’m from a Midwestern Air Force family that was stationed in Selma, Alabama, during the 1950s. I came home from grade school with outlandish tales of Confederate nobility, contented slaves, and Northern oppression. My parents set me straight, so I never embraced the prevailing white supremacy that dehumanized blacks. Instead, it sparked a life-long commitment to expose racist revisionist history. I was a pilot for the USAF and Eastern Air Lines before founding and running two of my own airlines. My latest published book is When KIWIs Flew: The Diary of a Mad Airline Entrepreneur. I’m married to Ellen, the great love of my life who is also my editing partner.
