MURDER or ACCIDENT TERRORISM or REVENGE

The Watch List is a contemporary, character-driven mystery that begins with the discovery of what appears to be a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident in the early morning hours of New Year's Day in Weston, Florida. The Broward Sheriff's Office lead investigator, Mollie Foley has been with the Traffic Homicide Division for seven years. She previously worked as a NYPD detective in Manhattan. She moved to Florida after the ten year anniversary of the death of her brother and husband who were first responders in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Detective Foley's initial investigation led her to believe that this was not a simple accidental death but was the premeditated murder of a Department of Homeland Security investigator. Because of the complex nature of the investigation she was joined by Detectives Josh Roberts, a former special ops Green Beret, and Sydney Paretti, a seasoned detective from the Homicide Division of the Broward Sheriff's Office. In the backdrop of the complex and high stakes atmosphere of Washington politics, the investigators are led through a web of international and political intrigue.

Joel Feiss, the author of Retribution for Acts of Terrorism, The Formula, In the Name of Honor, Pickup Murder, and Desert Pawn is a practicing Gastroenterologist and Internist in Plantation, Florida. He currently lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with his wife, Pearl. The Watch List explores some contemporary issues in American politics and its international relationships in the form of a modern murder mystery.
