Author Justin K. Capili was born in the city of Seattle and raised by a single mother of two. Poor decisions as an adult with severe consequences followed a life altering childhood tragedy. Unfortunately, this dark time led to a life battling PTSD and a herd of demons to conquer. Most of his experiences have contributed to his writing but not all have defined who he is today. Now a single father, he gives credit to his son, his unwitting savior, who’s birth has transformed a hopeless existence into a life worth living. He has chosen poetry as his outlet for personal healing and to express his maturing understanding of the human journey.
