Sam has always been a follower, easily influenced by the guys in his crew. And now, to get the money he needs to pay for the termination of the pregnancy for the girl he’s been seeing behind his girlfriend's back, he’s agreed to rob the man who not only gave him his first real job but has become a father figure to him. Sam’s about to learn that there are times in life when it’s harder to do what’s right then what others want you to do. And that the consequences for the decisions we make are far reaching, sometimes eternal.

Howard A. Brown is a retired Chief Petty Officer (CPO) with twenty four years of service in the United States Navy. He received his Bachelors degree from Regents College and his MAL from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. He currently lives in Kernersville North Carolina with his wife, daughter and granddaughter. This is his second novel.
