Author Information...

Betty Nicholas Bowers graduated from the University of South Dakota with a BA in Psychology, Magna Cum Laude. Her MS and EdS studies were through the University of Wisconsin. She worked as a speech/language pathologist at Wausau Hospitals, as a psychologist in the Wausau Public Schools and as faculty at Northcentral Technical College, Wausau, Wisconsin. Betty’s writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Wisconsin Academy Review, South Dakota Magazine, and Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets publications. For ten years she was a columnist for the Door County Advocate, writing The Artist’s Wife; additionally her features and interviews appeared in local and regional newspapers. Betty’s poetry and essays have received awards from The Wisconsin Academy, The Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets, and The Presbyterian Writers Guild.
