Demo’s happy to be a Pirate’s parrot and follow Petie to a life on the high seas. But when Petie refuses to become a Pirate in The Irate Pirate, it’s no “Pirate’s life” for either of them. Unable to perch on the crow’s nest, Demo feels he has nowhere to roost. Taunted by other parrots, Demo doesn’t know which way to turn. He decides to lean on his loved ones, paint a new future, and move forward with confidence. Then, when Petie needs him most, Demo finds he’s capable of much more than he thought. “You never know until you try,” he realizes.
