From homelessness to mentoring, through college and, single parenting, while pastoring, educating, and counseling, this young woman stands for over 20 years, in faith, believing alongside of her husband for his freedom. When his exodus is felt from an unseen realm of existence, in letters to her husband, she discusses the lessons and experiences of the transformation that takes place as the answers to their prayers unfold.

Referred to by her nickname “Kee” or her last name, Merritte, the author was born on the campus of Michigan State University. Since age 12, she has used faith to guide and lead others to a place of growth and encouragement. Challenging experiences and a quest to help others survive pain, loss, and injustice, Merritte was led on a journey in search of God. The journey has taken her through college, through ministry and international excursions where she has counseled, taught, and inspired many. An ordained pastor, devoted wife, mother, and friend, as a living witness of faith, Merritte continues to coach, care, and minister to others.
