Product description...

Two forces have caused the teaching profession to be suboptimal in most schools. The first is the one-size-fits-all approach to teaching that started in the 1800s and is still common in many schools. The second is the standardized testing system force on the profession by the corporate/political class, which narrows the curriculum and leads to bad teaching in the guise of test prep. In this book, Doug Green exposes the problems with research-based rational and offers suggestions for what can be done if only the politicians on both sides of the aisle get out of the way. Here are some testimonials from first rate educators who have all published many books.
