Edwin Mathisen was born and raised in a small town in western Iowa farm country, graduated from the University of Iowa, and worked in information systems for three corporations over the course of three decades. Early retirement provided the opportunity for him to work at as adjunct lecturer for two major universities and continue his profession by establishing a corporate consulting company.
