About the Author Vernon Kadell was born in Hillsboro, Oregon, in 1953, but did not receive his faith until 2010, when he began attending a neighborhood Evangelical Christian church. Shortly after Vernon began attending this church, he began receiving the Word, through his gift of poetry, from the Lord. Vernon has continuously grown in his faith, still attending that same church. Vernon reads his poems during the services, nearly every week.
