C. Ross Acheson graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with a degree in chemistry. However, his adult career has been in real estate-related businesses in California, Washington, and Texas. As well as being a licensed Realtor, he has been a HUD mobile home dealer, and has been involved with mortgage, escrow, and appraisal services. In 1994, he and his wife Marie created Acheson Appraisal Classes, approved for continuing education for appraisers in 42 states. Mr. Acheson was chosen by HUD for oversight and consulting services, and he is a nationally recognized instructor in appraisal procedures and ethics. Mr. Acheson has been an active participant in many activities, including sailing, swimming, scuba diving, boating, magic performance, and traveling. He has also enjoyed honing his presentation skills as a member of Toastmasters. The Achesons now reside in Temecula, California, where they enjoy viniculture and playing bridge with friends.
