Author Information...

Born and raised in a ghetto in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the post depression era, Virginia Archer was educated in the Philadelphia Schools System. After marrying and moving to Vineland, NJ Dr. Virginia Perry successfully taught in the Vineland NJ Public Schools system until her retirement in 2003. She was Vineland's Teacher of the year in 1988 and won the New Jersey Black Educator's Award in 1990. She and her students built and maintained a small African-American Heritage Museum for a number of years before her retirement. Dr. Perry is a graduate of Penn State University, Glassboro Teachers' College, now known as Rowan University, and The Philadelphia College of Bible, now known as Cairn University. She received her doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Union Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is mother to three adult children, a daughter and two sons, and grandmother to two adult grand-daughters. Her interests are varied and many, one of which, of course, is writing.
