Product description...

My collection is a story written in prose. My story is unique but also quite common. I’ve crushed the hearts of women who have loved me and I’ve turned my back on soul mates, thinking I could’ve done better. I’ve done the wrong thing in regards to love for so long now, that I’ve finally accepted the fact that this is how it will be. Some of us are destined to be single forever, so I'll just accept it, because for me, I certainly know who the problem is. It should be said however, that through the abuse, the years of anger, the drunken madness and the insanity; I’m eternally grateful to all the women who loved me and/or tried to love me. It’s very true that having relationships with others, mainly teaches us about ourselves.

Author Information...

Ken HopstadI remember I first started writing poetry in junior high school calligraphy class. I loved that class. The teacher was one of those cool adults who played LP’s on his foldup phonograph player, during the class. Like music, writing became an outlet for me along with becoming a friend. I know my poetry is not that brilliant. I know technically, it would never win any kind of a contest. I also know it’s the same thing over and over again. But there’s something inside of me that wants to do this. It’s part of who I am and this collection is part of my story. And it’s one of those things that if I don’t do it now, I’ll regret it forever. My personal thanks to Richard Bach who wrote Illusions, a book that changed my life and gave me hope when I was young, angry and lost. And thank you from the heavens to John Lennon, who always kept it simple and made it all about love, because it is.
