Sugar takes a light-hearted spiritual journey to discover “who she truly is” through the trying on of different costumes and personas. She examines life in the military, as a sports figure, a dancer, and a hat model. She even travels back in time to meet notable “people” in history and emulates Hollywood stars. Still not getting a true sense of herself, she travels around the world and spends time in nature. At the end of all this self-examination, she determines that she needs to look within to discover “who she truly is.” Featured just in her own fur she comes to the realization “I purr, therefore I am” which is similar to most of us humans who search to discover who we are inside ourselves. This book will not only attract feline aficionados, but it will also bring home a subtle message about the personal struggles we go through in our journey to become our true selves.

Linda Gareh-Applegate, Sugar's “human Mum” hails from England and is the photographer and proud caregiver of Sugar. When not photographing her precious fur baby, she is a holistic health care provider who has taught and practiced healing all over the world. Being married to a now retired military officer has afforded her the opportunity to live in ten difference countries which has certainly broadened her perspective on life. She currently resides in Central Pennsylvania with her loving husband and her muse, Sugar the Cat.
