Product description...

HOLY LIFE LEADS MAN TO GODLINESS AND CHRISTIANITY; BOTH OPEN THE GATE TO ETERNAL LIFE

This Book hosts two important characters: 1. King David, human character. He features prominently in Dynamics of Godliness, being basic thereof at the same time. 2. Jesus - God Incarnate. Founder and Head of His Religion, Christianity, and figures significantly in Dynamics of Christianity. 1. King David of ancient Israel, led an outstanding leadership role during the forty plus years of his reign. Being a human, David had his weakness and strengths in terms of temperament. Therefore he became a victim to adultery. He had an affair with Bathsheba, wife of Uriah the Hittite. He caused the death of Uriah in battle and then married his wife. This act resulted in a serious sin, and the LORD became very angry with him. The LORD then sent Nathan the prophet to David to tell him of his sin. The due punishment: When Nathan met David, he told him, “I anointed thee king over Israel and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul; And I gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things. Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? Thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife...Now therefore sword shall never depart from thine house.” Indeed, David's house suffered the penalty of his sin. David’s strength: He immediately confessed his sin to the LORD, and was forgiven. He spared the life of King Saul, who vowed to kill him. David fought and won most of the Israeli wars. His people valued him “ten thousand of us,” “the light of Israel.” His life was up and down yet he was resilient even under most challenging currents: because the LORD was with him always. His exemplary life, coupled with his total submission to the will of the LORD conform to Dynamics of Godliness. 2. Jesus - God Incarnate, came and dwelt amongst us and showed us the way to the Father. Hitherto mankind has been wandering spiritually, blindfolded by the Devil. His miraculous birth astounded man’s ingenuity then and now. His mission to earth was to save mankind from his sins. Jesus performed hosts of miracles: healing people of diverse infirmities; reviving the dead; calming the turbulent billows; turning water into wine; feeding nine thousand men besides women and children; teaching the gospel to multitudes wherever He went, and laying the foundation of Christianity. Seven times Jesus predicted His passion, as recorded by the gospel of Matthew. Jesus paid the price for our sins, though He Himself was sinless, by His work at Calvary - the Cross. He was crucified, dead and buried; The third day He rose from the dead - vanquished the grave. Forty days after Resurrection, He ascended to heaven, leaving His missionary work to His disciples. He trained them for this purpose. The legacy Jesus left us include, the Cross (Cymbal of Christianity), Light, Education, Civilization, Christianity, Salvation, and Eternal Life. Jesus’ activities form Dynamics of Christianity.

Author Information...

Ralph Jarvis had his ministerial education from Southwestern Assemblies of God University, Waxahachie, Texas; and missionary training at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Springfield, Missouri. Ralph did not realize his dream for Overseas Missionary Work but worked briefly for North American Mission Board and Georgia Baptist Convention as church planter. He is now retired and lives with his wife Cecilia in Stone Mountain, Georgia, U.S.A. In answer to his prayer for God’s direction while on retirement, the LORD said to him: “Write a book that will circulate the world spreading the Word, more than you can do. For you will go to only one country; and I shall direct you as to how to write the book.” Therefore, this Work takes the format exactly as my LORD led me. Ralph takes on apologetics as well as writing.
