“We were both born during or shortly after, a disastrous US-wide depression. We were both the youngest child in our families. We were seventeen and twenty one years old when married. We served four years of mandatory armed service in the U.S. Coast Guard. We've visited all fifty states, more than fifty foreign countries, on five continents. We earned three college degrees; Dan’s BS and DVM, and Marilyn’s PHT (putting hubby through). We retired from: Veterinary practice, Associate Director of Arizona Dept of Agriculture, and Free Lance Writer of eighteen published books. ‘We’ is used here because none of those achievements were possible without the other partner. We have always respected, never doubted, always loved, and always supported each other. We produced two sons to whom we dedicate this book. They are the most accomplished young men we've ever known. Tim and Chris are our greatest assets and the most generous Christian men in existence.
