Janet Johnson Schliff M.S.EdJanet holds degrees in special education and education. She’s never had any children of her own, but loved being a teacher, until a massive brain tumor and the damage that it caused led her to be on disability. Her main reasons for writing this book are to try to help other families that have experienced brain injury, a difficult challenge that changes the lives of everyone involved, and to help the community at large understand people with disabilities better. Many of her doctors and therapists are surprised at how well she manages life’s difficulties. Though she’s no longer able to teach, she loves volunteering with children so she can still contribute to society in some way. Janet lives with her Puggle, Happy, in Lake Katrine, NY.
