Product description...

This personal memoir tells how many gay people can sometimes spend decades of their lives fooling themselves and others before realizing their true identities. The book is adult but not pornographic. The author who lived primarily in the Carolinas and Florida relates his life story as it started about the time of World War Two until now. He knew that he was different from other children and had extraordinary talents. He did not understand what his differences were. He was unable to get answers about sex when he was a child because that was a taboo subject It was a time and place when and where sex was not even discussed with people's children or anyone else. This made relationships difficult. So, he concentrated on his plans for a career and the use of his talents. Suppressing his true sexuality resulted in some mental and emotional turmoil and sometimes clinical depression. After many years and a broken marriage, he was finally able to break the bonds of unhappiness by finding friends who accepted him and loved him unconditionally, something he never experienced even in his own family. He believes this is every gay or lesbian's story as they seek simple acceptance for being who they are.
